SALUTING THE DIDSBURY BUSINESS COMMUNITY
The Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce will join the country in celebrating the 31st annual Small Business Week in October 2010. Small Business Week is a national celebration organized by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) in cooperation with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. It pays tribute to the significant contribution that small and medium-sized business owners make to our economy and gives them an opportunity to network with those interested in small business and dedicated to its development.
 The Chamber of Commerce is proud to host Didsbury's Small Business Gala each October. The Gala is a must-attend event for Didsbury entrepreneurs, service organizations, and those in the community who just want to say "thank you" to our local businesses. What a great opportunity to take your staff out for an affordable evening of fun and socializing. Many people use the Small Business Gala as an opportunity for customer appreciation. Some bring their friends and family. With great entertainment, businesses can now contact the Chamber office to get on the waiting list for the 2010 Gala.
One of the highlights at the Gala is the presentation of the Small Business of the Year Award. Past recipients are Didsbury AG Foods, For Trees Company, Didsbury Review/Contemporary Graphics, Didsbury Pharmasave, Grasse Lumber Sales, and Front Porch Realty. Who will be the award recipient in 2010?
LOCATION
The Didsbury Small Business Week Gala takes place in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Didsbury Memorial Complex, located at 1702 - 21 Avenue.

The Chamber of Commerce was very pleased to introduce our first-ever Small Business of the Year Award in 2004. Designed to recognize Didsbury and district businesses that provide top quality customer service and community support, the Award showcases the entrepreneurial spirit found in our business community.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD
 The Chamber of Commerce was pleased to introduce a new award in 2006 - the People's Choice Award. The Chamber invites the general public to vote for their absotively, posilutely FAVOURITE BUSINESS. It's quick, it's simple, and people have fun being involved! Any business operating in Didsbury or the surrounding area is eligible. We invite you to challenge your neighbours and friends to fill out a ballot. Campaign to make your favourite business the winner. And if a business happens to "court your vote", it makes it that much more interesting!!The People's Choice Award was not presented in 2009. |
